The Creativity4Change Auction
Helping charities save and change lives
Creativity4Change is an arts initiative that creates partnerships between health organisations/ groups, charities and artists. Our exhibitions aim to support humanitarian organisations with their work nationally and internationally. In our exhibition this year, we will be raising funds for ActionAidUK and supporting the work that they do in caring for mothers and the displaced from all countries in Greece.
The art featured is about the social and political context of the refugee crisis. Political Art has been used by many artists worldwide to raise awareness about political issues despite media censorship of sensitive subjects. It has also been used to talk about socio-economic differences globally and the world that we live in. The Syrian crisis has been described as the worst crisis since World War 2 in Europe and many thousands of people have been displaced daily from their home countries. Through art, our artists will be exploring what this means and the questions that this crisis poses. Migration is now part of a wider on-going issue posing many questions.
We will be having an online auction with works from our art exhibition from January until Spring. Art prints will also be available. So relax, and see in the New Year while enjoying buying art from the comfort of your own home. Prices start at £35.00

ActionAid’s mother and baby centres
“I came to Lesvos primarily to help with ActionAid’s mother and baby centres. Here women have a chance to relax for the first time in a long time. They can breastfeed, change their clothes, clean their babies and they can talk to someone about their difficult experiences.
There are so many sad stories told inside our centres, where women feel safe enough to speak openly. I was so moved by one particular woman and her 25-year-old daughter. Maybe because I’m almost 25, I felt I could relate. – Lina Abuaisheh, Aid worker, ActionAid Occupied Palestinian Territory
Our art cards will be used to raise donations for Refugee Week who work to create awareness of refugees experiences and encourage understanding. We would like to thank all the artists and organisations who have supported this initiative.
If you are a community centre or charity group, you can get involved by distributing our cards at your venue.
All our art cards are £4.25 for a selection of 2 or £2.89 for 1. Prices include first class postage.
